Holiday: National Take A Hike Day

National Take a Hike is coming (November 17th!) Planning starts now.

Hello! Today we’ll be posting about National Take a Hike Day (read more about Take a Hike Day here).

There are so many reasons to go and play outside (read why fall weather is the best here!)

A good walk through nature may do a lot of good (read about it here.)

We tried it, and it really wasn’t that bad. (We do recommend dressing for the part. Read this to figure out what to wear.)

Now, on to the good stuff!

Pick the right hike.

Here’s a link to help you choose.

These are some of the best parks in Illinois. We love this one.

Bring enough water.

Pick your favorite one here. We personally like this portable dog water bottle.

Wear the right shoes.

We suggest one of these. We like Hokas (so comfy and cute)

Also, your pet may need a pair. Read about it here.

Pack the snacks.

Arguably the best part of the hike is a having a treat at the top with a great view.

Here’s some snack you can safely share with your pet.
