The Problem
Dashi isn’t special. She’s a dog at puppy stage. She has the attention span of a teaspoon. Like other puppies, getting a decent photo of her is difficult. Really difficult.
The Solution
Like other puppies, Dashi is food motivated. Very food motivated. This is the first time she has eaten PB and used a lick mat. If you’ve never used a lick mat with you dog, try it. It has changed the game for how we take dog photography forever.
Our choice of nut butter for Dashi is simple: simply peanuts. Just wholesome, good ol’ peanuts mushed into a creamy thick paste.
Her reaction to the stuff is really amusing.
The Main Event
For a more controlled, cleaner experience, we smear the butter into a brightly coloured lick mat and Dashi is already salivating. We use this exact one below.
Peanut butter will buy Dashi tolerance for her human’s strange requests to wear crazy product prototypes.
She’s still too young to become a shop dog or a model products without getting distracted or destroying products, but it really is fun to watch her experience the world, and for us to be able to share the experience with you all is the best part.
